Feline Friday-Project Tower

School is almost back in session so I will soon be able to start working on my Project Tower!  I have a lot of catching up to do!  My sewing do list includes more cherry pie pot holders, a jacket and pants for me, 3 book review projects, free motion quilting, a new pattern to write! and a dress (supposed to already be wearing it, but maybe I'll have it ready to wear before the weather turns cold).
Alice is in the background with her glowing eyes.
Hope you all have a safe Labor Day weekend!

Feline Friday

Emma is posing with my son's Vacation Bible School project-a house that Jesus might have lived in growing up.  The kids had a great time making people, pottery, bed roll, furniture etc.  My son added a pet rat to the roof (next to the oven).

Emma has been very interested in it.

Feline Friday- Free Motion Quilting

I was inspired by the free motion quilting challenge from SewCalGal.
I used the Jester's Hat pattern as a starting point to fill in the cat.
I stitched a quick sketch of Alice while she was lounging on my sewing table.
Another unfinished example.  I am going to make something from all these samples- maybe once school starts I'll get to it!

Feline Friday- I mean Saturday!

I could give you a whole list of excuses on why I am a day late, but suffice it to say, its summer, and I was out of town.
Since this is Saturday (not Friday), here is a picture of raccoons (not cats), that my daughter Grace and I sewed from an American Girl Kit.  We were having a mother/daughter afternoon.  The kit was fun to make, easy and contained everything we needed.

I sewed the mama raccoon and she sewed the daughter one.

Meow.
