This month's expert is Ann Fahl. One suggestion she had was doodle on paper first, then sew. While I was stitching it felt like doodling too. I had fun with it and I think I am improving. I started in the middle (also her suggestion) with Loops and Twists. Then I added hearts that became shamrocks (Happy St. Patrick's Day!). I tried stars, swirls, flowers and spiky sun things.
I did a flamingo and a fish (standing on its nose), below.
Hi Cynthia,
ReplyDeleteI love your doodling on fabric. The last photo looks like a little bird. Good job..well done! Happy stitching.
neat....I like the flamingo
ReplyDeleteFlamingos and fishies? I am SO not worthy! :-) Thanks for posting these pics. I'm joining the FMQ challenge late and the March tutorial was already taken down so I'm trying to figure out how to do it from everyone else's pictures. Your loops and twists remind me of those old fashioned Christmas tree lights, like Snoopy used to decorate his dog house. That's a good thing, by the way!
