National Sewing Month

With the kids back in school, I will be getting some sewing done again.  And how appropriate is that since this is the beginning of National Sewing Month!

I plan to celebrate by sewing, teaching sewing classes, attending a sewing workshop,

shopping at my local fabric store, 

and attending my local sewing guild meeting.

How will you get involved? 

or a man (yes I know plenty of men sew- I've taught some how to!).

Its time to enter the Sewing and Craft Alliance national sewing month contest !  It is super easy- just sew something with a heart on it!  Then go to the link above and submit a description and 2 photos.  I just entered, but I'm not posting the picture yet.  The winners will be notified Oct.31.

September is National Sewing Month!

What better way to celebrate than by showing your love of sewing?!  Sewing and Craft Alliance is sponsoring a contest and accepting entries Aug.10-Sept.30, 2011.  The theme for this year is "Sew for the love of it!", so your entry has to have a heart on it.  It is really that easy!  I'm planning on entering something.
